ABOUT 241 EVENTS
241 Events opened in September 2017 in order to provide Rockingham County with a unique, all-inclusive venue in a historic area of our community. Our historic property built in 1940 has gained a lot of character over the years: formerly a pool hall and an apartment building, after the building burnt down many would have abandoned it. But where some saw destruction, we saw an opportunity to create a show-stopping space in an area of Eden that hadn’t seen as much attention in recent years. Our passionate, local team provides everything you need for your event in-house, so come on in, sit down, tell us what you want, and allow us to take care of the rest. Our staff is very careful to pay attention to detail on all of your needs, going above and beyond to make sure that we give you exactly what you want.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Hi, I’m April Blackstock. I’m a hardworking mother of four with a knack for being creative. I love working with others and love working with events.
While I had five years of prior experience as an event planner before starting my own venue, 241 Events originally started as an exclusive shoe boutique. When I got ready to move into a new space at 241 The Boulevard, my love of working with clients, executing their vision, and seeing the happiness on their faces came into my spirit, and I knew what my new mission was. I worked hard to renovate the space, redoing the concrete floors, adding a little touch of glitter, and even custom building the bar out of an old piano.
